About Avantika University
Avantika University is a private state university established in 2017 under the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature Act and approved by the UGC. It is located in Lekoda Village, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, 55 km from Indore and 58 km from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport. The university campus covers 60 acres.
The university has four schools — the School of Design, the School of Engineering, the School of Management, and the School of Liberal Studies. Together, they offer more than 19 UG, PG, and PhD programmes in Design, Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Agriculture, and Science.
Admission to all courses is entrance-based. BDes and MDes admissions are through DST, UCEED, NID-DAT, or NIFT scores. BTech admission is based on JEE Main or CUET. MBA admission is through CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or the university’s Avantika Aptitude Test.
Avantika University is promoted by the MIT Group of Institutions, Pune, which also runs MIT Institute of Design (MIT-ID), one of India’s well-known private design institutes. Both institutes use the Design Scholarship Test (DST) for admissions. Through DST, students can get scholarships worth up to Rs. 3 crore.
The fee structure for 2026 has been officially approved. First-year fees start from Rs. 75,000 for BCom and go up to Rs. 4,65,000 for BDes and MDes courses. Hostel fees are separate. Triple-sharing rooms cost Rs. 80,000 per year, while twin-sharing rooms cost Rs. 1,30,000 per year.

Avantika University admissions 2026 are open for UG, PG, integrated, and doctoral programmes. The university offers courses in design, engineering, management, law, commerce, computer applications, and agriculture, including BDes, BTech, MBA, BBA, BCA, MCA, BA LLB, BBA LLB, Integrated MBA, and PhD. Admissions are entirely entrance-based through exams such as DST, UCEED, NID-DAT, JEE Main, CUET, CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, AAT, and AST, depending on the programme. Avantika University Admission Process
- Register at avantikauniversity.edu.in (or dstexam.in for BDes/MDes via DST) and pay the application fee of INR 1,000 (DST is free).
- Appear for the relevant entrance exam: DST / UCEED / NID-DAT / NIFT for Design; JEE Main / CUET for Engineering; CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / AAT for MBA; CUET / AST for BBA, BCA, BCom.
- Shortlisted candidates receive an invitation for a Personal Interview (PI). BDes and MDes additionally require a Thinking Challenge and Portfolio Review (TCPI round via Zoom).
- Accept the admission offer via email. Pay the first-year fee and INR 10,000 Refundable Security Deposit through the university fee portal.
